So at the beginning of this month I made a few cakes for the Easter Egg Hunt for the church. These cakes were fun. I did have instructions for these. I was asked to make a butterfly and a caterpillar, for a theme they were using. They turned out super cute and I have to say the caterpillar is probably my most favorite cake I have ever done. It was just too cute!
 

So snow isn't an uncommon thing around here...but this much snow doesn't happen all the time. Bella and I just came back from a walk. I thought I would share a little of what I saw.


 

Whoa its been that long since my last post? Oh well what can I say...I think I hit a point where I wasn't feelin the blog for awhile then the time kept getting away from me. Its interesting to look back on the last things I was posting. So since the last post not gonna catch up on everything but a few things....

-I have done 3 wedding cakes since my last post and numerous other cakes (I'll be posting some pics later)
-My mom is doing well she is a fighter
-I just went out of the US for the first time (majorly bad things happened-I'll share in more detail later)
-I changed some hair color (oh yeah purple!)
-New piercing :)
-Still not building a house-however my yard if full of holes waiting to see if the soil will perc
-We didn't make it to another National Championship Game oh well however I did manage to visit Chattanooga twice for other reasons

So enough randomness for now...lets explain about the most recent adventure-My first trip out of the US
Back around Christmas we decided to plan a vacation because well the winter here (which I love) can get a bit long. So we made plans and decided that neither of us were really into taking a cruise but we wanted to head to a great beach. We decided on the Bahamas, its just over a two hour flight so we thought it would be a great way to go. I applied and got my passport and last Sunday we headed south. We arrived at our hotel from the airport (had my first taxi experience as well). After having some lunch we headed to the beach. Later that evening D gets sick. Our first thought is food poisoning. The next day we decide to head to a doctor because he wasn't getting any better. Tuesday he is feeling much better so we go to the beach and then spend the afternoon in downtown Nassau. Later Tuesday I get sick. Now we know its gotta be a virus not the food. So Wednesday I take my turn to the doctor. The medicine they give D does nothing to help me so I get two shots. Thank goodness Thursday I am well enough to fly back home. So now we are both back the normal *thank goodness* and we'll see about another vacation since this couldn't really count for one. So I didn't get all that many pictures but here are a couple:
 




I may not blog all the time but I really do plan to add something on a more frequent basis, especially when I do a cake.
